Introduction - Alfreton Lido now longer exists. In its day it was at the centre of community on hot, sunny summer days. It was shut down around 2006 when work began to rebuild Alfreton Leisure Centre. There is a poll by Alfreton people on the Alfreton Town facebook Group and it shows a strong interest by local people for the lido to be re-instated.

The lido has been replaced by an indoor swimming pool which (after multiple delays) will be opened sometime late in 2009.
